Spectrum Series 6000

The Spectrum Series 6000 is a totally new design currently in development. It is designed to provide large scale processing capacity in an industrial setting for very large output at the 100kg to tonne scale from a single large footprint processor.

This processor has been designed along the same principles as the smaller Series 1000 processor to operate continuously (24/7) at the high g field required so that the scale-up along the range is linear and therefore able to develop processes and determine output from laboratory scale experiments and process development.

Early prototypes of a large-scale processor developed in conjunction with Brunel University identified many potential problems in building processors with large physical dimensions and able to generate the high g field required without associated mechanical problems.

The Series 6000 processor with its 6-litre column volume was therefore designed to eliminate these problems. The design of this processor was carried out as part of a Framework 7 (FP7) grant funded project “D-Factory” where Dynamic Extractions HPCCC is a key technology of the biorefinery element.

This has resulted in the design of a very high specification machine with many new and novel components which will operate continuously at the high g field and meet the rigorous requirements of all industrial applications.

The Spectrum Series 6000 however remains in early stage development, but Dynamic Extractions welcomes enquiries from and discussions with interested customers.
